What is a front-closure bra?
A front-closure bra fastens at the center front, so you can see and reach what you're doing instead of working blind behind your back. Support comes from the band and cups, same as any bra, so getting the band size right first matters more than with a back-close bra.

Why the closure location matters
Reaching behind your back to hook a bra is a coordination move most back-close styles ask you to make blind, by feel. A front closure puts that same motion in front of you, where you can see the hooks line up. The mechanism inside the bra doesn't change: the band carries the weight and the cups shape, whether the hooks sit at your back or your sternum.
What does change is adjustment. A back-close band gives you two or three columns of hooks to fine-tune the fit over time. A front closure typically comes on at one size, so the band you choose is closer to the band you get. Some front-close styles, like our posture bra, add adjustable cushioned front hook straps so you can fine-tune from the front too.
How to get the band size right
Because the band fastens at one point, always measure yourself before you buy: wrap a soft tape snug around your ribcage, directly under your bust, and read that number in inches. That's your band size. A band that's too loose will ride up in back even with the closure secure in front; a band that's too tight will dig.
Once the band is right, cup fit follows the same logic as any bra: no gap at the top of the cup, no spillage at the sides, straps that stay on your shoulders without digging.
