Plus Size Cheeky Swim Bottoms

Plus Size cheeky swim bottoms offer a playful swimwear cut with minimal-to-moderate rear coverage, making them a comfortable choice when you want a little less fabric while still enjoying the stretch and support of a well-made swimsuit. Designed for curves in sizes 12W–44W, these bottoms can be worn at the pool, on the beach, at a resort, or anywhere you plan to spend time near the water. The cheeky cut typically leaves more of the back uncovered than a full-coverage brief while offering more coverage than a string bikini bottom, so the look can feel fun without being difficult to wear. Look for swim fabric with plenty of stretch and recovery, a smooth lining, and secure leg openings that stay in place as you walk, swim, sit, or reach for a towel. A wide waistband can help the bottom rest comfortably against your middle, while a high-waisted style gives more coverage through the tummy and pairs easily with a tankini or fuller-coverage swim top. Mid-rise and low-rise options sit lower on the waist for a different feel and may work well with a cropped swim top, bandeau, or classic bikini top. If you prefer an adjustable fit at the hips, side-tie styles let you loosen or tighten each side as needed. Ruched details at the back or along the sides add texture and allow the fabric to flex with your movement. When choosing Plus Size cheeky swim bottoms, start with the rise and coverage that feel most natural for how you plan to wear them. A high-waisted pair can offer tummy support and a secure feel during a long day beside the water, especially when you are moving between swimming, lounging, and walking along the shore. A mid-rise bottom may sit comfortably below the navel and coordinate with a wide range of swim tops, while a lower rise can create a more relaxed bikini look. Pay attention to the waistband construction, since soft elastic and a wider band can help prevent pinching or rolling. Leg openings should feel secure without digging into the skin, and the seat should provide enough coverage for you to move comfortably. If you are between sizes, compare the garment measurements with a pair of bottoms you already enjoy wearing, giving special attention to the waist, hip, and rise measurements. Swimwear fabric often has stretch, but it should not feel overly tight when you sit or bend. Color and print are also useful ways to build a swimsuit you will enjoy wearing. Choose a solid bottom to coordinate with patterned tops, or pair a bright print with a simple black, navy, or neutral top. Matching colors do not have to be exact; repeating one shade from a print can create an easy, pulled-together look. Cheeky bottoms can also be mixed with different tops throughout the season, giving you several swim looks without filling your suitcase with extra pieces.

These swim bottoms are useful for vacation packing, warm-weather getaways, indoor pools, water aerobics, and casual days spent near the water. Their lighter rear coverage can feel especially comfortable under a loose cover-up when you are walking from the pool to a shaded patio, while a high-stretch fabric can keep up with active movement in and out of the water. Add a swim skirt, breezy beach pants, or a lightweight cover-up when you want more coverage away from the pool. For cooler months, they can remain a practical part of a travel wardrobe for heated pools, spa visits, cruises, and destinations where the weather is warm. They may also make a thoughtful gift for someone planning a beach vacation, provided you know her preferred size, rise, and coverage. A gift recipient who enjoys colorful swimwear may appreciate a bold shade, while someone who prefers simple basics may get more use from a solid color that works with several tops. Before wearing new swimwear, check the care label and rinse it with cool, clean water after swimming to help remove chlorine, salt, sunscreen, and sand. Avoid wringing the fabric, and let it dry flat or hang it in a shaded, well-ventilated place instead of leaving it in direct sun or a hot car. With the right rise, stretch, coverage, and color, Plus Size cheeky swim bottoms make it easy to create a comfortable swim wardrobe that suits your everyday plans and personal style.
