This is a very nice coat. It looks nice, is well made, and is warm enough for January in Michigan without being too bulky. My only complaint is the closures, as many other reviewers have mentioned. There is one button, which goes into a buttonhole cut under the sweater trim on the back side of the coat, and doesn't go all the way through the coat, just halfway, if that makes sense. Just the bottom layer of the edge. The button is fairly small, too - just slightly bigger than the average pants button. It is very difficult to get it to slide into this hole, and then it doesn't want to stay there. The belt is annoying also - the buckle is very clunky and heavy (plastic), so the belt keeps sliding far down one side with it's not buckled. Also, there's no pin in the buckle, so every time I bend, stretch, sit down, etc., the buckle slides out along the belt and it droops down instead of staying cinched tight along my waist. I replaced the button/belt with a couple wooden toggles, which work much better, and now the coat is comfortable AND easy to close. I'd seriously recommend doing something like that if you buy this coat.

I like my sweaters and coats/jackets a little big so they fit comfortably over other clothing - so I always order a size larger than I normally wear - I don't think you really need to do that with this Sweater/Jacket. Also, I think a tie belt would have been better than the buckle style that came with it. Otherwise it is perfect.

I WAS DISAPPOINTED WHEN THIS MERCHANDISE ARRIVED.
NO WHERE ON LINE IN ANY PICTURE DOES IT SHOW THAT IT COMES WITH A BELT.
I SEE YOUR PICTURE ABOVE SHOWS A BELT, BUT NOT ON LINE OR IN YOUR CATALOGS. DOESN'T MENTION A BELT IN THE DESCRIPTION EITHER.
SO, I'M NOT USING THE BELT. BUT STILL LOOKING AT THOSE LOOPS. WHICH HAVE TO GO!

I get loads of compliments when I wear this coat, especially from my 18 & 24 year old daughters. I purchased the black with grey trim. It has a belt which was a total surprise, but I like it better without it. I think the sleeves are a little short, but I wear it with a long sleeve black sweater/knit top and/or long black gloves, and it's very stylish. It is not an everyday coat, but it is surprisingly warm, given how lightweight it is. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Better quality than expected. Heavy coat more than jacket. Very comfortable. I am 5' 8" so sleeves might be too long for smaller people.
