Very firm support. I will order a size or 2 larger next time because I just want some smoothing effect. Suggest order your size if you really want to suck everything in. A little difficult to put it on over the head, recommend you step into it. Nice cup area - not flat like others.

Unfortunate bad experience

My experience was so frustrating and should not have been if only there was better information about the sizing. I wish when people review they would say what their normal size is when something is too small or too large. Originally I would have ordered the size I always wear which is large. But because several people commented that it ran large, I ordered a medium. That arrived and was way too small. I re-ordered a large and that turned out to be a little too tight as well. It may have eventually stretched and been ok but I didn't have the time for that to happen as I needed it for an occasion right away. So I had to re-order another one in a X-large. When that arrived, it was not quite as snug as I would have liked but had to keep it. It will be ok but I'm sure it will soon be too loose when it stretches out from washing and wearing. The x-large is a little too long as well but that I can deal with. It covers my butt and fortunately it doesn't ride up. For those of you considering this, my advice is if you normally wear a large and don't mind a little tightness...order a large. It will eventually stretch. If you don't have the time for that, order a X-large and it will still be ok but not extra tight. Over-all I like this product. It is well made and comfortable and soft. It may be helpful for others to know that I am short, have an apple shape.....thicker through the middle and smaller through the bust and hips. I wear sizes 14 thru 18 in tops depending on the style and "sizing" and if I want it to fit loosely or be more fitted. I hope this helps. One more thing: put on by stepping into it. Do not put on over the head!!

you can pull it down a bit if you are short waisted, it will cover a little past waist and I did go up from what I normally wear, from a 2x to 4x. I am glad I did--recommended by several others--than it's not so overwhelmingly tight.

pretty good for the money

I wanted something to smooth out the area from under the breasts to hips under everyday clothing. This is perfect for that. it's nice and long and stays down on my hips, tucked into my jeans. My only complaint is that it flattens out my chest, so I kind of wish there was a version that is "braless" or goes around the breasts somehow. For not I just take the straps off my shoulders and tuck the top under my bra, and it still stays put all day. I love that I don't have to struggle to use the bathrooms like with a full body shaper. SO comfortable that I forget I'm wearing it. It does look tiny when it comes out of the pack, and just like other reviewers said, the trick is to step into it and pull it up from the bottom.

I ordered a size up 2x because most reviews said it runs small. Boy! they were right! So I am exchanging it for a 4x! That should do the trick. I wear a 1x normally. Great product you should think about making it more true to size.
