My calf measures 18", and I typically wear a size eight or eight and a half.

I therefore ordered this boot in the size 9 WW.

I was wearing cotton stretch pants when the boots arrived. I figured, "well, Woman Within claims that their wide-calf boots START at 18", so these should zip right over my leggings".

WRONG.

Well, I take it back, they DID zip, but I had to do the mental equivalent of "sucking in" my calfs and working the zipper carefully to get them up.

NO WAY could anyone with my size calf zip these over denim!

Once I had the boots on, I measured the widest part of my calf. With them on, the measurement was 19".

Meanwhile, the shoe part of the boot fits my foot with a normal cotton sock on, but the area where my heel and ankle sit feels too spacious. Additionally, there is zero support for your arch in these boots.

Fortunately, I bought these for a "look" I wanted to achieve (to wear with a long skirt for concert performing) rather than for comfort, so I will probably keep them.

I have to say, they DO look super cute with my leggings, and I know they will be cute with my long skirts. I will just have to buy some insoles for them.

I put that I would recommend to a friend, because I would, so long as the friend needed them for looks and not for support or warmth.

i purchased this boot in both colors. they are good for work and i also use them for church as well. they are very comfortable.

I love my boots. They are very comfortable. Plenty of room in the wide calf, I can tuck my jeans in with space to spare! The foot of the boot is true in sizing. They feel extra wide in the ankle and heel but I can wear them with a warm sock, a bonus in the cold weather, and they feel more snug. They don't look expensive, but they were not expensive so I am perfectly satisfied with the value. Thanks WW.

The boots looked great when I got them, but unfortunately the calf width was way too small. I ordered these because if the wide calf claim, but it's a no go for me. I had to return them.

I was looking for a wide width booth to wear with jeans or a skirt this boot exceeds my expectations. The lining was a big suprise and great for the cold weather.

These are the first boots I've found that fit this great and I can wear longer than 30 mins without my feet hurting. Love these boots and they look great on me. Wish I could get a pair in every color.
