The only thing wrong is that I have a high instep. So I'll have to wear them without socks or buy some "footies" that don't go over my instep. That said, I am really pleased with the shoes. I'm glad I read the comments about New Balance running small. I ordered 1/2 size larger than usual. They fit beautifully except for the instep problem, which can be worked around.

Love my 12B NB sneakers! In other shoes I wear a 10.5 2A, but since NB runs a whole size small for me and this sneaker runs narrow and I wear ortotics with them(I allow 1/2 size for the orthotics), I ordered a 12B and they fit and are beautiful--good support and style. Only con is that the shoelace holes look a little weak.

It's a great shoe but like all New Balance products it tends to run small and a bit narrow. Order a little larger and you will get to enjoy a great shoe. Excellent arch support for all day comfort even if you are on your feet all day.
I would tell my friends about this shoe

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. I have worn them without any problems. As usual though with New Balance I get half a size larger than I would normally. I just like the extra room in the toe.

I wear these walking to work. Even the wide width still feels a little tight. Just needs to be broken in and worn. New Balance is a good brand and doesn't cost as much as other brand name sneakers.

This is my third pair of New Balances... my second pair of 557's. Even worn past their prime, they make comfortable work shoes. I'll buy them again and again!

I am on a Weight Watcher member trying to move from a very sedentary lifestyle to a more active one, and walking is my beginning step to this change. These shoes give good support for my arches and ankles, and are making my walking efforts more a pleasure than a chore.

I really like New Balance shoes, but I was disappointed with this one. This is the firt shoe of theirs that didn't run true to size. This will not stop me from buying different styles of New Balance shoes.

Ordered a half size larger than my normal size and it was still way too small. Also ordered a size wide and it was too narrow. Going to try again with another size because it's a nice shoe.

Very comfortable shoe. Fit nice right away, no breaking in period.
I was hesitant to buy online because my feet are hard to fit (wide) but I am glad I took the chance and saved myself hours at the mall.

I had 2 problems with these shoes. On the left shoe, The arch is misplaced and on the right shoe, the seam protrudes to where it rubs against the foot and causes irritation.
I think this is mostly likely a manufactory defect because my niece owns a couple of these shoes and they do not have these problems.
While I am very disappointed about my first purchase of this brand, I would buy again but probably at a department store where They can be tried on before buying.
PROS:
They are great for the treadmill. Absorbs impact very well. Light weight!!!!!
