This is a nice looking shoe and is nearly identical to a pair that I have and dearly love, but one of the straps on my old pair has a strip of elastic on it which enables me to wear it comfortably, and the Bass shoe has no give like that, therefore I am unable to wear it.

I have to buy a new pair of these every 7-10 years, when my old ones wear out. Until broken in, expect blisters and rubbing. After they're broken in, they're comfortable and almost indestructible. They are also feminine-looking and classic. I live near the beach, and even multiple soakings in salt water don't faze these sandals. I don't even bother to put them away--wear them all the time except winter.

The shoes are really cute. I ordered a 7WW because of the reviews, and I normally take a 6WW. It definitely does not feel like a WW width. The straps are a little irregular - right shoe tighter than the left (and I normally don't have this problem with my feet.) I am keeping them because they are stylish and comfortable in spite of being imperfect.

I usually wear these when I run errands , its a comfortable shoe, but it feels a little tight on my foot.I imagine the leather will stretch in time, then the shoe will be a perfect fit.I would recommend ordering in wide width instead of regular, as well as a half size larger, as the thong part of the shoe, along with the tightness going width wise across the shoes only allow you slide your foot so far into the sandal.

I normally wear 9W. I ordered 9WW and they were still way too narrow. I have wanted a pair of these sandals since I was in elementary school! Wish I had read the other reviews before I ordered. The straps are too tight, but may stretch out. Even if they did the footbed is just too narrow.

This style sandal has been around for decades. With all the trends and changes in footwear styles, it is nice to still see such a classic design available. It is even nicer to see it in a double width version, which was never available years ago. I think the stiffness of the leather is what makes the sandal feel a tad too narrow. When the leather softens up and stretches out a little, I'm sure these will be the sandals I live in!

The sandal was soft to walk in, but the BASS metal logo sign on top of the shoe has rivets, and those are painful. The older style looks exactly the same, but the logo is glued on top, so you don't feel the metal.

I have bought this same sandal twice before and when I saw the green one in the catalogue, I knew I had to have it. Bass makes a very sturdy and comfortable sandal. Their quality is high and well worth the money. I was, however, very disappointed when it arrived as it felt as though they had mistakenly sent me a narrow. This leather thong is very well made and comfortable underfoot. I have a very wide foot so my only complaint is that the straps are just a tad stiff and tight. I will wear heavy socks for about a hour to stretch them out and then they should be fine.

I just got theses sandels. I can't answer the question about if they wear well for long periods of time. What I can answer is that right out of the box, they slipped onto my foot like a comfortable pair of slippers. They are adorable and just checking them out in the house, they seem to be quite comfy. They will easily go well with a casual skirt, pants or capris, or shorts. I know I'll get tons of use out of them. Can't wait to free my toes!
