For traveling, mumuus rule as cover-ups for nightwear (room-service), lounging in room after sight-seeing, over bathing suits, even for sleeping and as dresses in beach communities, but they compress way smaller than a bathrobe in luggage. At home they can even be paint smocks, all of the above, and general house dresses, comfortable to cook in, to save dress up clothes after work, and nice enough to answer the door. Great in California heat or wear shirt under it in winter. It's like wearing your nightgown, but being dressed enough to walk the dog in a pinch. The last ones I ordered were nicer fabric and workmanship however, but these are cooler.

Cannot be beat for loungewear. Bought one 2 years ago. My only complaint is that after 2 years, the fabric on the one I have has worn very thin at the side seams under the arms. I would say, however, that at the very reasonable price of this item, I will buy two and maybe that will help extend the life of the garment. You can see that I wear it a lot!!!

I use this in place of a robe. It's light enough for summers but okay for winters- especially since I tend to be warm all the time.
