I bought 2 of these at first, a red and black one. The black one shed a lot. I purchased 2 more at reduced price because I thought black one was a fluke. However, the new ones shed too!. I was so embarrassed at work-the purple one had little piles of purple fabric all over the floor.The chocolate one had millions of fibers on my black skirt.I have bought chenille before at other plus size online places i.e. Silhouette,Jessica London. This has never happened before!!!!!Poor quality item!!

This sweater was warm and comfy, but it lost it's pile and I found little tufts of pile all over the place on furniture and floors. The worst part is that I purchased two in different colors and they both did the same thing. I had several holes in each one after the first wearing of each. This sweater had come in handy for the very cold winters we have here in NY. It fits great and is extremely soft and comfortable. The problem I'm having with this sweater is that after every wash there seems to be a hole somewhere where the fabric (yarn) has started to unravel. I've followed the directions every time when washing this sweater. I don't ever put the sweater in the dryer. I hang it up to dry. I have another one of these in a different color and the same thing is happening to that one also.
It's soft and comfy. It's great!

I live in a small high-desert town far away from any large city, so it's pretty conservative and a LOT colder than I was used to, living in a large, sea-level city all my life. This sweater is SO cozy! I usually hand-wash things like this, so that may take care of some of the bad reviews. It's just a littler snugger in the chest than I like; I over-heat easily and then I'm miserable. I've already worn this sweater outside and was really glad it's as warm as it is, and so far the marginal snugness is no problem. I won't be able to wear this into Spring, probably, but it's super for the Winter we have left and will get a lot more use next year. I love the color...one of my favorites. I also like the hoodie part because of all the snow and high level wind we get here. Sometimes just visiting a neighbor next door is difficult.

I live in my jeans, and like to have nice sweaters and tops to go with them. These sweaters are stylish, soft, and most importantly, WARM. I got them in all of the colors, as THEIR SHEDDING made me feel that the less I wear each of them, the longer they will last. When I have one of them on, I feel cozy and comfortable. Because it has no ribbing at the bottom, it does not hug, showing my every nook and cranny.
Washing these sweaters is NOT easy. They need to be washed separately--even from each other, because of the lint they leave on everything they touch. THE LINT DOES NOT COME OFF OF OTHER ARTICLES OF CLOTHING EASILY. Each time these sweaters are washed, they are a little less luxurious. Yet, I still love them. I just wish they were more durable so that I could look forward to wearing them for years.
IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE CONSTANT SHEDDING, AND SUBSEQUENT THINNING OF THE FABRIC THAT PREVENTS ME FROM RECOMMENDING THIS PRODUCT TO MY FRIENDS.

It's funny that I got this email today. I am wearing this shirt today, it is the 2nd time I have worn it. Today I have noticed that the hood is pulling loose from the sweater. It is pulling in the front near the draw string and in the back in the center is a big whole where it is pulling loose. I think the hood is too big and pulling too much on the sweater. I'm going to try and mend it myself tonight - but would not order another one.

I purchased 3 chenelle sweaters in all- a great buy with promos...Each one had a manufactured defect including the 4th sent to me as a replacement...the end of the sleeves seam unraveled, several parts of the upper arm and chest area had "dropped stitches" which left unsightly holes-so not the bargan I had hopped for and I sent all back. Too bad, had the quality been way better I would have loved them- soft, not too warm, could use in layering, stylish...too bad.

It's a great looking sweater. I can even wear it to work, but at the end of the day there is a lot of lint on my undergarments, skin and the top of my pants. It comes off with a tape roller. If I didn't love the sweater so much, I wouldn't put up with it. It's not just this sweater...all chenille does that.

This sweater is so nice and it fits so well that I bought it in 3 different colors. But it is so delicate and holes can form and rip so easily.It can accidentily get caught on something,or a family pet can rip it easily and I wouldn't even trust putting it in the washing machine. So if you don't mind some tears and threads pulled out here and there,it's really comfortable.
